Vicki has been involved in the complementary medicine industry since 1994, where a passion for using nature to heal spread across a path of nutrition, massage, naturopathy, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.

Having practiced these modalities in different regions around Australia and the world, Vicki has gained insight into a wider variety of environmental factors and influences that can interrupt our health and well-being.

Vicki continues to stay on top of treatment methods by attending many seminars and conferences each year to bring you the best of what can be offered.

Vicki’s career began with massage and as a nutrition and supplement consultant in the early 90’s and progressed into the Chinese Medicine sphere after completing a Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Acupuncture. Vicki has spent a year in China working in hospitals and studying with Professors and was lucky enough to study Tibetan Medicine in India.

After practicing for some time, Vicki realised that in order for Chinese Medicine to be both accessible and acceptable within the western world, a research base from which to communicate Chinese therapies effectiveness was necessary. This led her to complete Masters studies at the University of Western Sydney, in which she specialised in Women’s Health and Stress Disorders.   Vicki continues to update her knowledge in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine and is skilled in various forms of needling.

Vicki has been serving the Sunshine Coast community since 2004 and is available to treat all conditions relating to pain and loss of function, digestive and respiratory ailments, stress and fatigue, hormone related states, including fertility, pregancy, menstrual irregularities and menopause.  Please ask if you have any questions about your health concerns.

“My treatment approach is non-judgmental and realistic, drawing from all modalities. I believe that for illness to be corrected, the entire body needs to be addressed, not simply the presenting signs and symptoms, although presenting symptoms are always addressed so you can feel a change after the treatment.  The focus is on wellness. I believe that given the right conditions, the body will return to wellbeing. I provide the tools and you provide the necessary changes to your lifestyle and together we can improve your health”.

Available Monday to Thursday.

Dr Erin Horne BHSc (Acu)

Erin Horne is a Registered Acupuncturist with a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) from Endeavour College of Natural Health. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Erin began her career in the jewellery industry before coming to Australia in 2006. A snowboarding injury in 2008 was the catalyst that lead her into the health and wellness industry, which sparked a profound shift in her life.
Her journey began over a decade ago when she became a yoga teacher, finding a passion for helping people relax and calm their nervous systems. This passion led her to explore complementary modalities to deepen her wellness practice. It was during her continued search for relief from chronic back pain – from the same previous injury – that she stumbled across acupuncture. The significant relief she experienced through acupuncture and cupping inspired her to return to university and become an acupuncturist, eager to share this transformative practice with others.
During her studies, Erin had the privilege of working alongside Dr. Jiang Man, one of Brisbane’s most respected acupuncturists. Over four years, she assisted in Jiang’s busy clinic and herbal dispensary, gaining invaluable hands-on experience that shaped her gentle and compassionate approach to patient care.
While studying she also completed the Community Acupuncture Student Internship (CASI) offered through Inclusive Health and Wellness Hub, where she now works on a casual basis offering community acupuncture to the South Brisbane community.

Erin is passionate about stress management, focusing on nervous system regulation and fostering deep relaxation to support the body’s natural healing processes. Drawing on her background in yoga and meditation, she incorporates mindfulness into her treatments to enhance overall well-being.

Erin has a particular interest in nervous system regulation and neurological conditions. She is experienced in treating anxiety, headaches, chronic pain, musculoskeletal conditions, and women’s health. She incorporates a variety of techniques including acupuncture, scalp acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, cupping, and guasha, depending on your individual needs.

Erin has offered her services in various clinics, yoga studios and treatment spaces across Brisbane and is now bringing her services to the Sunshine Coast. She is excited to be offering treatments at Honour Health and looks forward to supporting you on your wellness journey.
